Protein is important. It helps with muscle, bone and tissue recovery, building, supports your immune system and keeps your hormones in check. If you are a gym regular, it is really important you meet your daily protein to keep the gains coming and recovery smooth. Here are some meals that you can make easily in your condo kitchen at Island residences.

Egg sandwich

Eggs are one of the best sources of protein that is easily accessible. If you are tired of the normal scrambled or sunny side up eggs try a different approach with egg sandwiches. Boil them for 8 minutes and then cool them. Once cooled, mash them and then add some salt, pepper, mayo and some spices, then mix them together.

Chicken breast and broccoli

A staple protein food that can be easily made at home. Grab yourself a chicken breast fillet and some broccoli and stir fry in your frying pan. There are many other ways to cook these 2 together like putting some cheese after cooking it for some added protein. This can make you full and help in meeting your protein goals.

Protein Shake

If you have some whey at home you can make drinking it more fun. Add some fruits, strawberries, bananas, blueberries, some oats, yogurt or peanut butter and then a scoop or two of your protein whey. Blend them together and you have yourself a glass full of protein and nutrients that your body needs to repair and keep those gains coming.

Canned Tuna

Canned tuna is versatile. You can use it to make all sorts of snacks for your protein or you can eat it alone. You can make yourself some tuna pasta, a tuna roll, turn it to cheesy tuna, or simply fry it. Add some onions and some garlic chips and then some rice or turn it into an omelet. It is definitely something you should have in your cupboards if you want an easy to make snack on the fly.
