It’s been a couple of years since Pokémon Go took the world by surprise with its augmented reality technology. This fabulous innovation caused as much anger as the contact lenses that allow you to zoom when blinking.
Huawei, in its constant search to achieve the best devices and gadgets, wants to demonstrate that Pokémon Go is only a child’s game and that augmented reality can help improve people’s lives not only in the visual and entertainment aspect but also in other areas.
Given this scenario, the company decided to create a new virtual reality app Cyberverse that will not only allow you to improve your experience with the real world, by making it more colorful, it also has advantages that your pocket will love.
uring its Huawei development conference (Huawei Development Conference or DHC), the technology showed all the benefits of its application.
The functions that this application will have are:
- Interactive directions similar to a guide
- Relevant information about tourist sites
- Reading notes and opinions of other users about the sites you visit
- Integrated assistants
- Live information on availability in restaurants, departments, etc.
- Current promotions of sites of interest such as restaurant, shop or tourist places
- Interactive games in multiplayer mode
One of the most important features of Cyberverse is that the information you will find changes according to the users that are close to you at the moment, something that makes it unique in the market.
On the other hand, one of the most controversial functions of this app is that you can create an avatar with personal information such as social networks, tastes in food and others, and anyone who sees it with your app will have access to this data.
According to the company, the project has been in development since 2014 and its main objective is to merge the real world with the digital one through a smartphone.
According to Huawei, 2020 will be the year in which the application will be launched for all Android and Apple devices.
What do you think of this app? Does something remind you of Black Mirror?
