I love summer and I love the beach and I don’t hide. On the beach, you can go to relax, cool off or bathe, but you can also practice the most fun sports. And, doing sports on the beach can be more a game than a physical exercise.
I do not know the others, but for me, that is an immense advantage that the beach offers us and that we do not always consider. It is true that we usually need some kind of material to be able to practice sports on the beach, but we promise you that it is worth getting some and enjoy this summer in a different way.
Here we leave you some ideas of the sports games that you can enjoy during a day at the beach, and some of the materials you will need for the day to be completed and you exercise almost without realizing it.
Beach Volleyball
There is no summer worth it’s salt without a beach with good nets so we can play beach volleyball. So much so that some beaches organize their own volleyball tournaments. It is a very fun team sport that, in addition, will help us work legs, buttocks, shoulders, abdomen and lower back without almost noticing.
Therefore, this summer is our time to start in this sport. We can do it either with friends or by joining a tournament. Be that as it may, you will only need a volleyball, a net and a lot of sun protection to avoid burning while playing in the sun.
Diving and Snorkeling
Diving is one of the water sports that most fans are attracting in recent years. It does not surprise us, since, in addition to exercising, it allows us to know a part of the world to which we do not have habitual or simple access.
If we want to start practicing it, we can either rent the material or get a good diving mask and fins that facilitate the work we will do under the sea. Getting good material and accessories is important since our mobility and visibility underwater will depend on them.
If we are interested in starting scuba diving, but diving seems too much for us, we can always try snorkeling. For this, we can get specific masks designed for this sport and with good slippers or non-slip socks because it usually involves walking through rocks and other sliding surfaces.
The Classic Shovels
Not all the games we practice have to be very professional. That is the case with the shovels of a lifetime. Being a simple game, which we have always practiced and that anyone can practice, it almost seems that we do not do sports with him.
However, we couldn’t be more wrong. To begin with, having to run or move on the sand – especially the dry one – is already a good exercise for our legs. If we add to that the repetitive hit of the ball, our arms also have theirs. One of the advantages is that it is enough to get us with some shovels and a couple of suitable balls.
Among other things, we train coordination, balance, strength, and speed. Playing frisbee is a much more complete exercise for our whole body than we think and just get a frisbee disk and enjoy without stopping.
