Some people like to think of the new year as a reset, the perfect time to reassess what they have done with their lives and think of resolutions that could make them a better person. A new year brings us new opportunities and new challenges. Here are some tips to start 2026 strong.

Acknowledge Feats You Achieved Last Year

Think about the achievements and wins that you had last year and the effort and work you put in to make them happen. This helps you stay motivated and positive as you start 2026, knowing you could achieve more great things.

Don’t Overdo It

Focus on what you think are important things rather than making a list and trying to complete a lot of goals. Making too many resolutions could result in you not sticking to most of what you said you were going to do. Try listing 1-3 realistic goals that you want to achieve.

Reflect and Learn From the Past

Take some time to reflect on what you did not and did achieve. Focus on last year and figure out how you will be bringing those insights and knowledge this year. Sit down and avoid distractions; if possible, do this in a quiet spot in your Tengah Gardens Residences home.

Smile More

Be positive and smile more- it makes you give off a bright aura and makes you feel better. Smiling releases dopamine, serotonin, and endorphins, making you feel more relaxed and happier, resulting in lower stress levels and blood pressure.

Establish Attainable Goals

List down goals that you want to achieve this year that are realistic, so you stay motivated and keep going with the goal that you have made for yourself. This makes it seem less daunting and makes you stick to what you said you will do.

Express Gratitude

Write down things that you are thankful for in life daily. This can help you appreciate life and make you gain a positive mindset. Additionally, you’ll feel less stressed and able to cope with the daily grind.
