Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen has given birth to her second baby with New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.
It has been revealed that the 32 year-old star gave birth to her daughter Vivian Lake on Wednesday morning at her home in Boston.
Bundchen and Brady already have a two year-old son named Benjamin, and Brady has a five year-old son named Jon from a previous relationship.
Bundchen announced the news of her new arrival to her fans on Facebook, writing: “We feel so lucky to have been able to experience the miracle of birth once again and are forever grateful for the opportunity to be the parents of another little angel. She is healthy and full of life. Thank you all for your support and well wishes. We wish you and your families many blessings.”
Along with the statement on Facebook, Bundchen also posted a photograph of her holding her new baby girl’s tiny left hand.
Whilst Bundchen never officially confirmed or announced her pregnancy, she was not afraid of showing off her growing baby bump throughout the pregnancy, continuing to model for Victoria’s Secret as well as relaxing catching a tan on Miami Beach just weeks before she gave birth.
If her previous pregnancy is anything to go by it is likely that Bundchen will bounce back to her supermodel figure now she has given birth, with it not long before she is back to work modelling. Since giving birth to her first son Bundchen has become the world’s highest paid model, with her last year raking in over $45 million.
As well as being an expert when it comes to modelling, Budchen also views her parenting skills highly, making headlines two years ago after scorning mothers who do not breast-feed their babies.
Speaking to Harper’s Bazaar UK Bundchen was quoted as saying: “Some people here think they don’t have to breast-feed, and I think, ‘Are you going to give chemical food to your child, when they are so little?’ There should be a worldwide law, in my opinion, that mothers should breast-feed their babies for six months.”
After Bundchen’s rather shocking previous claims it is a safe bet that she will be breast-feeding Vivien, health permitting of course.
