New York Prosecutor Admits to Porn Career

Over the past month or so, we have practically seen everything that can happen in politics. We saw a blowout in this year’s election that left Romney and his supporters in a fury wondering what happened to the people who claimed they would support his campaign. Then, the Petraeus case made the news, which involved a high-up in the military being involved in an affair, and this triggered a thorough investigation regarding whether or not this case could pose a security threat to our armed forces. Now, a new story has been released with an even more interesting twist, but, at least, this one certainly poses little to not threat to the functioning of the American society.

Mark Suben, who is a New York prosecutor near the Syracuse area, has fessed up to being a pornographic film actor during the 1970s. So what’s the big deal? Well, considering he was of legal age and so were the women he acted with during the films, nothing appears to be an issue. However, he lied.

Suben reportedly told others about his pornographic acting stint that occurred about 40 years ago. However, as time came closer to this year’s election, he lied about his career. Obviously, he figured that it would be fairly difficult to get some voters on his side knowing that he acted in adult movies.

When questioned by the public after the election, Suben softened up the blow a little. Mark said, “recently materials have been circulated alleging that I was involved in the adult film industry about 40 years ago in New York. Those allegations are true,” he said. “I was an actor in adult films for a short period in the early `70s. I was also an actor in other venues including off-Broadway, soap operas and commercial advertisements.”

He did finally apologize about his past, and he acknowledged, that while it was over four decades ago, and it was legal, that he still used poor judgment. According to Suben’s spokeswoman, he does not plan to resign as a result of the coverage of this event. He did, however, refuse questioning during a conference following the release of this story.

Suben’s opponent was also asked about Mark’s porn career. He told reporters that he was more concerned about Mark Suben’s inability to tell the truth over the matter than he was his actual acting career.
