Fourth Victim Comes Forward In Kevin Clash Sex Scandal

A fourth man has come forward claiming that he had underage sex with Elmo puppeteer Kevin Clash.

The Kevin Clash sex scandal continues to unfold, as Florida based attorney Jeff Herman has filed his third lawsuit against 52 year-old Clash, alleging that he engaged in sex with minors. Clash resigned from his job in November, amidst the shocking accusations.

The new lawsuit discovered by NBC News was filed by a fourth man, who has come forward with allegations that he engaged in underage sex, with Clash a former Sesame Street puppeteer.

The man identified as John Doe, claims that he was aged only 16 years old at the time of the sexual encounter with Clash in 1995. The paperwork reveals how Clash who was in his 30’s at the time, acquainted himself with the 16 year-old, flying him from Miami to New York, where they engaged in sexual activities.

Herman, a well-respected sexual abuse lawyer, is already representing two of the previous three alleged victims, as well as the latest man to come forward. In a recent statement made about the case, Herman said that: “Clash knowingly paid to transport a minor across state lines for the purpose of satisfying his sexual interests.”

The Clash sex scandal first came to media attention last month, when 24 year-old Cecil Singleton filed a lawsuit claiming that Clash had engaged in inappropriate contact with him, when he was aged just 15. Soon after another man come forward with accusations that Clash had sex with him in 2000 when he was aged only 16.

The first accusation of underage sex was at first withdrawn, before being recanted, with the victim claiming that he had been pressurized by Clash’s legal team to settle the dispute. Whilst Clash admitted to having a sexual relationship with the accuser, he denied that he was involved in underage sex.

Subsequently, Clash resigned from his job of over 25 years as the voice of Sesame Street’s Elmo, releasing the following statement: “I am resigning from Sesame Workshop with a very heavy heart. I have loved every day of my 28 years working for this exceptional organization. Personal matters have diverted attention away from the important work Sesame Street is doing and I cannot allow it to go on any longer. I am deeply sorry to be leaving and am looking forward to resolving these personal matters privately.”
