While Microsoft’s Internet Explorer maintains the No.1 position in Web Browser Market mainly because it’s shipped free with Windows OS and most people have no choice but use it, though IE8 has improved a lot, anyway meanwhile folks at Mozilla have started to countdown as the total downloads for the browser to reach 1 Billion downloads anytime today.
Over the years Firefox has become the No.1 choice both for casual web surfers and Webmasters alike due to featured-riched ability to access and render any Website the way it should be. It has turned out to be the best alternative to Internet explorer that comes free with Windows and even comparing it other browsers like Safari and Opera it still beats them in many ways.
One of the reasons what has helped firefox reach this milestone of 1 Billion download is its community power portal SpreadFirefox, which has devoted and passionate fans of firefox engaged in the spreading the word out. Anyway it’s always great to see Open Source community to prosper while i do hope that they improve the Firefox 3.5 that I am currently using and has bit disappointed me in terms of usability.
