The Hulk Hogan sex tape fiasco is heating up despite the fact that radio shock jock Howard Stern won’t be mediating the situation. Now Bubba the Love Sponge’s lawyer has gone on record with his side of the story and suggests that his client is the ‘victim’ in the fray.
An attorney representing Bubba (who wasn’t identified by name) spoke to E! Entertainment Online and said he hopes that everyone can work things out in a civil manner:
“I don’t understand how you can sue a victim and I don’t understand how you can sue your best friend. I’m hopeful we never get served and can work together to find out [what happened with the tape]. I am convinced Bubba had nothing to do with it. And I don’t believe Heather had anything to do with it. So let’s find that party who has caused harm to everyone. That is our objective, our hope.”
This echoes some of Bubba’s statement in his initial rant on the topic where he suggested that everyone work together to find out the source of the video’s public release. Perhaps the most interesting bit of Bubba’s lawyer’s comments is the fact that he has yet to be served with the lawsuit:
“The reality is that these guys shouldn’t be fighting each other. They should be fighting the person who stole it, released it and those who broadcast it. I don’t know what his objective is in suing Bubba. We will respond if and when we are served.”
The entire situation is strange and at times definitely has the feel of a ‘work’ that is being manipulated like a pro wrestling storyline. The story could get stranger if reports of additional Hulk Hogan sex tapes and/or more footage of Bubba’s ex wife Heather Clem are correct. There have been rumors of more footage of Hogan and Clem as well as a variety of videos with Clem and other men, some reported to be ‘B or C list celebrities’. Others suggest that there may be ‘gang bang’ footage of Clem forthcoming. At any rate, this situation will likely get stranger.
